Students in the Canary Islands enrolled in Infant, Primary and ESO will return to their studies on September 9th, with those in Baccalaureate starting a day later. In contrast, children in Navarre will be the first to resume lessons, as infants, primary and special education students must commence school no earlier than September 5th and no later than the 9th. Students in Baccalaureate and Basic Level Vocational Training will begin the 2024-2025 academic year on the 5th, followed by those in Intermediate Level Vocational Training on the 9th, and Higher Level Vocational Training on the 11th.
Meanwhile, the last students to begin their new academic year will be those from the Balearic Islands and Galicia, where classes will commence on September 11 for Infant, Primary, Secondary and Baccalaureate education.
Students in Extremadura’s Infant, Primary, ESO, and Vocational Training will also return on September 11, but high school classes in this region are set to begin on September 12.
One day later than the students in Navarre, those in Castilla y León, Catalonia, and the Basque Country will start their classes. In Castilla y León, infants, primary, special education, and ESO students enrolled in primary schools will return on September 6, while the remaining ESO students, as well as those in Baccalaureate and FP, will begin on the 12th.
In Catalonia, children in Infant, Primary and Secondary education will return on September 6, whereas Baccalaureate and Vocational Training students will start on the 12th. In the Basque Country, classes are not permitted to start before September 6 for Infant, Primary, Secondary, Baccalaureate, and Vocational Training, with the first school day potentially designated for the introduction of the 2024-2025 academic year.
In Aragon, the school year will start on September 9 for Infants, Primary, Special Education, and ESO, on the 12th for Baccalaureate, and on the 13th for Vocational Training. In Cantabria, classes will commence on the 9th for Infants, Primary and Special Education, and on the 10th for ESO, Baccalaureate, and Vocational Training. In the Community of Madrid, school will start on the 9th for Infants and Primaries, with ESO, Baccalaureate and Vocational Training beginning on the 10th. In Murcia, classes for Infants, Primary, and Special Education will start on the 9th, followed by ESO and Baccalaureate on the 10th, and Vocational Training commencing on the 16th.
On the same day, September 9th, classes will begin after the summer break for students in Infant, Primary, Secondary, Baccalaureate, and Vocational Training in La Rioja and the Valencian Community.
Subsequently, in Andalusia, students in Infant and Primary education will return to school on September 10, with those in ESO, Baccalaureate, and Vocational Training starting on the 16th. In Asturias, students in Infant, Primary, Special Education, ESO, and Baccalaureate will return on the 10th, while Vocational Training students will return on the 16th. In Castilla-La Mancha, students in Infant, Primary, Special Education, ESO, Baccalaureate, and Vocational Training will all begin their academic year on the 10th.
