The patron saint celebrations in honour of the Virgin of La Esperanza, held in La Guancha, culminate today with the customary papada and dance of magicians, now in its 22nd edition. As per tradition, over a thousand individuals are set to partake in this festive conclusion. According to information from the organising council, approximately 700 attendees have secured table reservations.
Thus, commencing at 9:00 p.m., the town will once again host a celebration brimming with tradition and delightful Canarian cuisine, an event that has become one of the most anticipated occasions for the residents of Guancha. Dinner will be accompanied by the melodies of the El Perenkén Guanchero group. Following this, there will be a fantastic party featuring performances by Morocho and Latin Brothers, the Marcaibo orchestra, Richard Díaz and Rafa Varela.
The organisers encourage all guests to dress in traditional Canarian attire. Access to the area designated for the magicians’ dance will be complimentary.
