VALVERDE (EL HIERRO), 23 Aug. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Department of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, via the General Directorate of Public Health, has issued warnings regarding health risks owing to the anticipated high temperatures in several municipalities of El Hierro, particularly from August 23 to 27 in El Pinar and La Frontera.
To determine risk levels, an algorithm has been implemented that factors in the predicted maximum temperatures, threshold temperatures, and risk elements for the 13 ‘meteosalud’ zones established in the Canary Islands to monitor temperature fluctuations.
The regions affected by the temperature rise are located in El Hierro, where the threshold temperature is set at 31 degrees.
