SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 23rd Aug. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The National Police have apprehended five individuals aged between 38 and 57 for violating industrial property laws in the southern part of Tenerife.
The inquiry was initiated after numerous complaints were filed by representatives from several well-known brands, who reported that various market stalls in the south of Tenerife were selling goods that appeared to be counterfeit.
Following a police operation carried out by officers from the Local Judicial Police Brigade, around 1,300 sports kits and approximately 350 jewellery items from the affected brands were confiscated, all of which are believed to be counterfeit. The estimated value of these items in the legitimate market exceeds 290,000 euros.
The operation culminated in the arrest of five men suspected of engaging in a crime against industrial property, four of whom had prior convictions for similar offences.
