SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 10th August (EUROPA PRESS) –
The municipal authorities of Santa Cruz de Tenerife have decided to illuminate the facade of the City Hall with the colours of the Venezuelan flag until this Sunday in a gesture of solidarity towards the Venezuelan people. They are currently engaged in safeguarding the rights and freedoms fundamental to any democracy.
In a released statement, Mayor José Manuel Bermúdez expressed, “Through this initiative, we aim to demonstrate our solidarity with the Venezuelan people, who find themselves at a crucial juncture in their recent history, with citizens demanding transparency and respect for their electoral choices.”
He further added, “From Santa Cruz, we want to convey optimism, tenacity and resilience to our fellow islanders as they uphold the mandate given by the majority through democratic processes.”
