This Tuesday, Canary Islands will see a slight decrease in temperatures in the inland areas and will experience moderate northeast winds with strong intervals in certain areas, according to the forecast by the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET). The strongest winds are expected in the low areas and coastal areas of the northwest and southeast of the mountainous islands, as well as in the inland areas of the eastern islands, being more likely during the first half of the day.

The sea state will also be choppy, with north or northeast winds of force 4 or 5, occasionally force 6 in areas of La Palma, El Hierro, Tenerife, and Gran Canaria. There will be rough seas, which will increase to heavy seas offshore, along with northern swell with waves of 1 to 2 meters high.

The north of the island is expected to be cloudy during the early hours and at the end of the day, with cloudy intervals during the central hours. In the rest of the island, the skies will be mostly clear. Temperatures will remain unchanged, and the winds will be moderate from the northeast, with strong intervals in inland areas during the early hours of the morning. Expected minimum and maximum temperatures: 22°C – 28°C

Clear skies will prevail, with some cloudy intervals to the north and west during the early hours and at the end of the day. Temperatures will remain stable, and moderate northeast winds will have strong intervals in inland areas, especially during the early hours of the morning, as well as on the southern slope of Jandía. Expected minimum and maximum temperatures: 21°C – 26°C

Gran Canaria

The north of the island will experience cloudy intervals, with a predominance of cloudy skies in the early and late hours of the day, when the possibility of some scattered drizzle is not ruled out. The rest of the island will have clear skies. Temperatures on the coasts will remain unchanged, while in the interior they could slightly decrease. The wind will be moderate from the northeast, with strong intervals in low areas and the coastline of the southeast and west extremes, and locally very strong gusts, especially during the early hours. Expected minimum and maximum temperatures: 22°C – 25°C

Tenerife

In the north of Tenerife, the skies will be cloudy in the early hours and at the end of the day, with possible scattered and occasional drizzle. During the central hours, there will be clear spells, except in the northeast. In the rest of the island, the skies will be clear. Temperatures will remain stable on the coasts, with a slight to moderate decrease in inland areas, especially in high summits. The wind will be moderate from the northeast, with strong intervals in low areas and the coastline of the southeast and northwest tip. Expected minimum and maximum temperatures: 23°C – 28°C

La Palma

The north and east of the island will have cloudy intervals, with cloudy skies in the early and late hours of the day and the possibility of scattered drizzle. In the rest of the island, the skies will be clear, with cloudy intervals at the end of the day, especially on the west slope. Temperatures will remain stable or with a slight decrease. Moderate northeast wind, with strong intervals in low areas and the coastline of the southeast and northwest extremes during the first half of the day. Expected minimum and maximum temperatures: 21°C – 25°C

El Hierro

Clear skies for most of the day, with a tendency for cloudy intervals in the north and east during the second half of the day. Possibility of scattered drizzle at the end of the day. Temperatures will experience few changes, with a slight decrease in maximums and a slight increase in minimums on the coasts. Moderate northeast wind, with strong intervals on the southeast and northwest slopes. Expected minimum and maximum temperatures: 16°C – 21°C
