SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 4th August (EUROPA PRESS) –
A young girl, aged four, was admitted to hospital after a near-drowning incident at a holiday resort in the town of Adeje, in the southern part of Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The incident took place just before 11:30 in the morning, when the 1-1-2 service received a notification stating that a child had been rescued from the pool of a holiday complex displaying signs of drowning.
Emergency resources were promptly mobilised by Cecoes to attend to the situation. Medical and life support vehicles from the SUC, as well as officers from the National Police and Local Police, were dispatched to the location.
Upon reaching the scene, medical personnel from the SUC provided care to the girl, who was later transferred to Hospiten Sur University Hospital after exhibiting moderate symptoms of drowning. The police authorities filed the necessary reports.
