SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 31 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Executive of the Canary Islands has given the green light this Wednesday, during the Government Council and upon the proposal of the Ministry of Tourism and Employment, to provide a direct grant of 2.3 million euros to the Los Realejos City Council (Tenerife) for the financing of a project aimed at transforming the Hacienda de La Gorvorana into a cultural and tourist space.
The Hacienda de La Gorvorana is a property listed in the heritage catalogue of the municipality of Los Realejos and holds significant historical importance in the Canary Islands. The property spans over a total area of 1,558 square metres, as stated in a press release from the Canarian Government.
This project also strives to establish a thermophilous forest in the surrounding areas, a small botanical garden, and a green passage from the Rambla de Castro to the construction site, enhancing the urban landscape.
Moreover, as outlined in the report from the Los Realejos City Council, the initiative focuses on the refurbishment of the former livestock farm in the eastern wing of the building. This space will be repurposed as a restaurant, with a key emphasis on promoting Canarian cuisine by showcasing the island’s produce and traditional cooking methods.
