Saiko’s concerts in the Canary Islands, scheduled for Friday, 2nd August at the Gran Canaria Arena and Saturday, 3rd August at the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Fairground, have been postponed due to the artist’s illness. Last week, the artist announced that he is suffering from advanced pneumonia. Saiko still wants to honour his commitment to the Islands and has announced that the new dates will be 31st August at the Gran Canaria Arena and 14th September at the Tenerife Fairground. Therefore, the tickets already purchased are completely valid for the new dates without any changes required by those who already had their tickets.

Mar Abierto Producciones and the artist’s management state that Saiko “has tried by all means to make it to the two dates in the Canary Islands,” but they assert that “health comes first.” Now, they say, “the only thing left is to recover to arrive in the Islands in top form and offer shows that they will never forget.” They also thank “the understanding of the fans of the Granada artist for the situation created and any inconvenience caused.”

Tickets for the new dates can be purchased on the website www.saikoencanarias.com and on www.tickety.es

The artist will resume his Sakura tour after filling two Los Cármenes Stadiums in Granada, the Wizink Center in Madrid, and the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona. Saiko is one of the most prominent artists in current urban music. His songs ‘Bad Gyal’ and ‘Yo lo soñé’ are in the top 50 of the most listened to this year, and this is added to the countless list of top-level artists he has collaborated with: Feid, Mora, Nicki Nicole, J Balvin, Quevedo, and many more. With Puerto Rican artist Mora, in the collaboration ‘Reina’, he reached number one in Spain, debuting on Spotify’s top 50 directly in this position, and 15th globally.

Mar Abierto Producciones has the support for Saiko’s concerts in the Canary Islands from the Government of Spain, through the Ministry of Industry and Tourism; the European Union, through Next Generation funds and the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, the Government of the Canary Islands, Tourism Canary Islands – Canary Islands Latitude of Life, Cabildo de Gran Canaria – The Island of my Life, Fauca, Open Commercial Areas, Living Canarias, Naviera Armas, Alkur, Tecnosound, and the ticket sales platform Tickety.
