### Saiko Cancels Concerts in Gran Canaria and Tenerife Due to Illness
The singer [Saiko](https://saikoneta.com/), one of the most prominent names in urban music in Spain, has been forced to cancel his two concerts scheduled for this weekend in Gran Canaria and Tenerife on the 2nd and 3rd of August, respectively, due to suffering from pneumonia. The organisers are working on rescheduling the performances in the Canary Islands, depending on the artist’s availability. Saiko also had to cancel his concert in Úbeda last Friday, 26th July, for health reasons.
The Granada vocalist was set to perform this weekend in the Canary Islands as part of the *Festival Mar Abierto*, announced earlier this year, as part of his worldwide Sakura tour, which sold out venues like the WiZink Center in Madrid and the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona.
In the Canary Islands, his two concerts were scheduled at the Gran Canaria Arena and the Recinto Ferial de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, featuring a spectacular stage setup and all tickets sold out, with Canary Island DJ Conqueror as the opening act.
Undoubtedly, his concert was one of the most anticipated not only of the summer but of the entire year in the Archipelago. Saiko, whose real name is Miguel Cantos Gómez (born in Armilla, Granada, 2002), has established himself as one of the most influential and listened-to singers of the moment, with over 14 million monthly listeners on Spotify and a total of more than 450 million streams. He has topped the charts in Spain with *Sakura* and the song *Bad Gyal*, and currently leads the most important music charts in Spain with several of his tracks. Furthermore, his musical journey includes collaborations with artists such as Quevedo, Mora, Ozuna, Omar Montes, and Feid.
