Three small boats carrying around 230 individuals have independently reached the coasts of the Canary Islands since midnight, two of them heading to El Hierro and one to Tenerife, as reported by sources from Maritime Rescue and the Red Cross.

The rescue boat Salvamar Alpheratz was deployed to escort one of these small boats to the port of Los Cristianos in Tenerife, carrying over a hundred individuals.

The small boat had been spotted from the ferry ‘Volcán de Tauce’ shortly before 7:30 am, about 8 miles off the coast.

Two small boats arrived at El Hierro, one of them carrying 51 people who disembarked in La Restinga at 5:30 am, and the other with approximately 80 occupants at 7:30 am, without any need for medical transfers.
