The Canary Islands Police Headquarters strengthens its team with the recent inclusion of 213 agents from the sub-inspection and basic scales, with a total of 115 in the province of Las Palmas and 98 in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The sub-inspectors, police officers, and officers who are starting their service immediately will be assigned to provincial, local, and district police stations, integrating with the rest of the national police officers stationed in various units.
The officers joining the capital of Gran Canaria were welcomed on Friday at the Canary Islands Police Headquarters by the Chief Superintendent, Jesús María Gómez Martín, and the Chief Commissioner of Las Palmas, Francisco Javier Berzal Tejero.
The largest increases in personnel will take place in the provincial capitals, specifically in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria with 63 officers and in Santa Cruz de Tenerife with 53.
The remaining officers assigned to the province of Las Palmas will be posted to local police stations in Arrecife (12), Puerto del Rosario (11), Maspalomas (19), and Telde (10).

Regarding the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the distribution will occur in the local police stations of La Laguna (15), Puerto de la Cruz (4), South Tenerife (17), Tenerife South Airport (4), and in Santa Cruz de La Palma (5).
