The City Council of Puerto de la Cruz has announced that it is actively working to speed up the process with other authorities to gather all relevant information regarding the potential reasons for the deterioration of water quality around Playa Grande in Playa Jardín. This deterioration prompted a recommendation to avoid bathing in this area of the city, issued by the General Directorate of Public Health of the Government of the Canary Islands twenty days ago. Efforts are underway to explore proposed solutions that necessitate immediate collaboration from all competent bodies, ranging from the City Council and the Government of the Canary Islands to the Cabildo of Tenerife.
