The Canarian Police General Corps, with the oversight of the Administrative Surveillance and Inspection Unit (UVIA) at the Tenerife Island Police Station, conducted various operations over the weekend, focusing on enforcing restrictions in the Anaga, Las Lagunetas, and Teide National Park Protected Natural Areas, due to the high temperatures.
The operations conducted in the Teide National Park, where officers engaged with personnel from active tourism companies and regular transport services, were particularly notable.
The UVIA issued four traffic violation reports to road transport operators for various infractions, as well as three citations to active tourism companies for non-compliance with specific regulations governing their activities. Additionally, three traffic violation reports were issued, and an official communication was forwarded to the labour inspection department.
