William Levy is currently in Tenerife shooting scenes for his newest film, ‘Under the Volcano.’ The 43-year-old Cuban actor has expressed his deep affection for the island during the filming process, where he plans to stay for another two weeks before returning from September to December to continue working on his new series project.
“I’m enamoured with Tenerife, it brings back memories of Cuba,” as stated by the Cuban actor while on set. He also shared that his great-grandfather, who raised him until he was 14, hailed from the Canary Islands.
During a visit to the filming location, the president of the Tenerife Council, Rosa Davila, took the chance to meet the actor in person.
This isn’t Levy’s first time in the Canary Islands for a project. Back in 2022, he filmed ‘Monte Cristo,’ a movie produced by the Netflix platform across various locations in Tenerife.
Whenever Levy is in the Canary Islands, his presence stirs up excitement among his fans, leading to large crowds eager to catch a glimpse of the soap opera star from ‘Café con Aroma de Mujer.’ He always strives to connect with his admirers and reciprocate their affection.
