SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 15 July (EUROPA PRESS) –
Kevin Sánchez, a business magnate and the proprietor of Yimbo 7 Inversiones SL – a company implicated in the ‘mask scandal’ investigating the payment of four million Euros to the company RR7 for masks that were never received – was conspicuously absent at the parliamentary commission probing the acquisition of medical equipment at the Canary Islands Parliament on Monday.
The lawmakers waited for Sánchez for 12 minutes, confirming that he was duly notified at his residence on 1 July. The commission’s president, Deputy Raúl Acosta (AHI), formally recorded his nonattendance.
Acosta also revealed that the details of the case would be forwarded to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, following the decision made by the committee members, for any necessary legal action to be taken.
Last Friday, a representative from Soluciones de Gestión y Apoyo a las Empresas, one of the companies implicated in the ‘Koldo case’, appeared before the commission but opted not to provide testimony, citing ongoing legal investigations.
