Spending a Lifetime as a Dockworker in Tenerife

“I have a deep sense of longing for this group.” These are the sentiments expressed by Antonio Herrera Martín, a former stevedore at the Port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife who retired in October 2009. He dedicated 41 years of continual service to his profession: “I always considered my fellow dockworkers as my second family, and I can confidently say that this feeling still resonates with me today.”
