SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 15 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Today, Tenerife Espacio de las Artes introduced the TEA Industrial Classroom, a learning environment for upcoming generations, companies within the industrial sector, educators, students, and professionals in engineering and museum preservation fields.
This initiative, one of the twenty-eight projects born out of the 2nd Symposium on Innovation and Best Practices by the Cabildo de Tenerife, has been crafted by the Technical Division of the institution under the leadership of its director, Ignacio Faura Sánchez.
Tenerife’s Councillor for Culture and Museums, José Carlos Acha, unveiled this new educational venture linked to the engineering industry today.
“The TEA Industrial Classroom is a place accessible to all students and instructors keen on exploring this kind of setting, situated in zones of the museum typically off-limits to the public,” remarked Acha, who also underscored that “this scheme, with its potential as a valuable educational tool, signifies a significant stride in our dedication to learning and cultural outreach.”
José Carlos Acha, accompanied by Faura himself, inspected this classroom where he elucidated the essence of this fresh initiative, offering students the chance to grasp the concepts of engineering and industrial heritage within a genuine setting.
The principal aim of the TEA Industrial Classroom is to transform these restricted areas into accessible spaces for visitors so they can comprehend their functions on site, within the environment of a museum-grade industrial structure. Through this endeavour, the contemporary art hub aims to emphasise these areas as pivotal components in conserving the cultural legacy preserved within the centre.
