A decrease of more than half in the number of people visiting the Masca Ravine Trail has been observed. To prevent overcrowding in this protected natural area and ensure utmost safety, the visitor count has been limited to 44,550 per annum. These statistics starkly contrast with the 100,000 yearly visits previously recorded in the Rural Park, now reduced by restricting entry to a maximum of 275 individuals daily. Under this new operational scheme, excursions will be permitted on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in a downhill direction towards the sea. Additionally, a daily uphill journey at 9 o’clock in the morning is available for those visitors interested.
