SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 11 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

A boy of five years old was saved on Thursday from a swimming pool at a holiday resort in Arona displaying symptoms of drowning.

The incident took place at 11.22 am when the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 112 of the Canary Islands Government received an alert reporting that lifeguards at a hotel complex had removed a child from the pool who was displaying signs of drowning.

While emergency services were on site, the rescuers administered CPR and successfully revived the child.

Upon reaching the location of the incident, medical staff from SUC continued to provide assistance and stabilize the child, who was then transported to Hospiten Sur due to respiratory failure.
