The Minister of Forest Management and Rural Development, Ignacio Higuero, the sole representative that Vox has in the Junta of Extremadura, stated on Tuesday that he will abide by the decisions of his party president, Santiago Abascal, regarding the continuation or termination of agreements with the PP in the governments of five autonomous regions.
Higuero has proceeded with his planned agenda today and made these statements at an event held in Cabrero (Cáceres).
When asked about the future of the PP-Vox coalition government in Extremadura, the Minister expressed that a decision will have to await the outcome of his party’s National Executive Committee meeting this evening, called following the PP’s acceptance of the distribution of 400 migrant minors by the autonomous regions, despite threats by Abascal’s party that this action would lead to the dissolution of their agreements.
“I will abide by the instructions of my president and those relayed from Madrid,” stated Ignacio Higuero when questioned by journalists, deferring any personal or political assessments until the decision of the Vox National Committee is known.
