SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 9th Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

A reception ceremony was held at the Provincial Police Station in Santa Cruz de Tenerife for the National Police trainee constables from the XXXIX intake of the Basic Scale. The ceremony was presided over by the Subdelegate of the Government in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Jesús Javier Plata, and the Chief Commissioner, Provincial Chief, Eloy Román.

These new trainee constables join the 71 individuals who reported for duty on July 1 at the Canary Islands Police Headquarters. This event was overseen by the Government Delegate in the Canary Islands, Anselmo Pestana, and the Chief of Police of the Canary Islands, Jesús María Gómez.

Having completed their training at the National Police School in Ávila, the new constables are commencing a year-long placement in various police units. They will be working alongside experienced officers in provincial, local, and district police stations to undertake duties such as public safety, judicial police work, immigration control, intelligence, and forensic investigations.

This boost in personnel serves as a significant reinforcement for the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, particularly during Operation Summer, enhancing security and safeguarding the Canarian community.

The recruitment of these new constables illustrates the National Police’s dedication to enhancing public safety in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, ensuring that the local residents benefit from the commitment and professionalism of the trainee constables.
