The Premier Ocean Festival in Europe Takes on Bjørn Dunkerbeck’s Challenge in Tenerife

In Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the International Ocean Film Tour, Europe’s biggest and most significant ocean festival, arrives with a unique Canarian twist. Celebrating its 10th anniversary this 2024, the festival will take place on Sunday, 14th July at 6 p.m. at the Guimerá Theater in the capital of Tenerife, showcasing five documentary shorts from four continents and introducing numerous premieres in Spain.

Marking its 10th year, the festival presents an edition filled with emotion and exhilaration, featuring first-person narratives crafted in South Africa, Austria, United States, and Cuba. This instalment embarks on a journey through the most untamed seas and extreme terrains on Earth, where the protagonists push themselves to the limits in the harshest environments, engaging in ambitious battles with the common objective of safeguarding the oceans and their inhabitants. They advocate for a sustainable and respectful way of experiencing these natural wonders, showcasing the grandeur both above and beneath the surface.
