SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 6th Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Today, a kayak independently reached the island of El Hierro, with one casualty and several survivors aboard, awaiting formal assessment upon arrival on land, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The vessel docked at La Restinga port shortly before nine in the morning without any intervention from the Maritime Rescue Service, with women and children also being among the passengers.
The kayak was identified by the Civil Guard south of El Hierro, and some of the passengers are currently receiving aid from SUC medical staff and Red Cross volunteers.
