Tenerife is full of activities during the weekends, with both public and private efforts to maintain leisure on the Island. Traditions, music, and cinema are the enticing options for the upcoming days to ensure you have hours of entertainment tailored to your taste. Here are the plans for this weekend:

TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes is screening this weekend, at 19:00, The Last Late Night (Late Night with the Devil, 2023). Directed by Australians Cameron and Colin Cairnes and winner of the Best Screenplay Award at the last Sitges Festival edition, this horror film adopts the aesthetic and format of a late 70s television show. David Dastmalchian, Laura Gordon, Ian Bliss, Fayssal Bazzi, and Ingrid Torelli lead the cast of this film. It can be viewed in the original English version with Spanish subtitles.

Concerts

This weekend is packed with top-notch concerts spread across the Island.

In the capital city, this Saturday, British artist Ed Sheeran will gather thousands of people at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López. The artist arrives on the Island with a sold-out concert, having broken attendance records on his tour, including full houses at the Sofi stadium in Los Angeles and the Metlife in New Jersey, for example. The stadium doors will open at 17:00, with special bus and tram services available.

Meanwhile, in Santa Cruz, La Laguna will host the Malvasoul festival, bringing the best electronic music to the Island. The stage in Parque de la Constitución will bring together three of the hottest DJs at the moment, along with a diverse lineup of artists, delighting the audience during the eight-hour event. New York DJ John Morales leads this musical gathering, alongside Greek Queen G and British Enzo Siffredi. Additionally, there will be a wide range of gastronomic offerings. This event will start at 16:00.

On the other hand, the esplanade at Puerto de la Cruz’s dock will host the Reggaeton Beach Festival (RBF) throughout the weekend. The lineup includes prominent international artists in the urban genre such as Anuel AA, Bryant Myers, Jhayco, El Alfa, Lenny Tavárez, Tainy, Dei V, Nio Garcia, Noriel, and Alvaro Diaz. Also, renowned DJs like Albert Gonzalez, DJ Sammyto, Rich Gubaly, Wes, DJ Renzzo, and Carmen will participate. The RBF Tenerife will run from 16:00 to 00:00.

Traditions

The Santiago del Teide Town Hall, in collaboration with the Tenerife Island Council through the Tenerife Rural Foundation and the municipalities of Garachico and El Tanque, will celebrate the seventeenth edition of the barter reenactment called ‘At the Foot of the Summit’ on Sunday. A large number of people dressed in the attire of the peasantry of that era is expected to participate, including leaders, goatherds, witches, pig herders, milkmaids, bakers…

To enjoy the product barter reenactment that took place in the area not too many years ago, three locations are recommended: San Francisco de La Montañeta (09:00), San José de Los Llanos (11:00), and the public square of Santiago del Teide (13:00).
