Air Nostrum will offer a total of 85,200 seats to fly between León and eight destinations. In addition to the usual Barcelona, Gran Canaria, Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, and Málaga routes, Tenerife will be added in the summer season, with Porto joining in January 2025.
The León County Council and Air Nostrum, the Iberia franchise airline for regional flights, presented the airline’s programme from La Virgen del Camino airport.
The route to the Canary Islands will commence on 19th July and will operate every Wednesday with a weekly flight until 1st September.
During the press conference, County Council President Gerardo Álvarez, accompanied by the Tourism Councillor and head of the Provincial Airport Consortium, Octavio González, highlighted that yesterday marked twenty-five years since the start of commercial flights from León airport.

“What started with a flight carrying twenty-seven passengers from Barcelona has turned into almost one and a half million passengers passing through the facilities of La Virgen del Camino,” he noted.
