SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 26th June (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Governing Body of Tenerife has enhanced the public transportation system of buses and trams in anticipation of the Ed Sheeran concert scheduled for this Saturday at the Heliodoro Rodríguez Stadium.

President of the Governing Body of Tenerife, Rosa Dávila, stated in a press release that the countdown has begun for one of the significant cultural events of the year.

“Everything is set for this magnificent concert, which once again places us in the realm of major international events, with the reinforcement of public transportation services by buses and trams in Tenerife,” said Dávila.

Metrotenerife will strengthen Line 1 by arranging trams on a requested basis both before and after the event concludes.

Moreover, the Tenerife operator will monitor the passenger traffic at the Line 1 stops during those hours, allowing for the addition of up to three extra trams to the service.

Regarding bus services, Transportes Interurbanos de Tenerife (Titsa), a company of the Governing Body of Tenerife, will amplify the services of six bus lines to cater to the concert attendees.

In the urban service of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, there will be reinforcement in their regular schedules for lines 908 (Interchange, Barrio de Ofra Juan XXIII, Interchange), 934 (Circular Interchange of Santa Cruz, Taco, Santa María del Mar). , Añaza and Interchange of Santa Cruz) and 936 (Circular Interchange of Santa Cruz, Añaza, Santa María del Mar, Taco, Interchange).

The routes in the metropolitan area receiving service enhancements will include line 014 (Santa Cruz Interchange, La Laguna Interchange via La Cuesta) and line 232 (Santa Cruz Interchange, El Cardonal, La Gallega).

Additionally, line 111 (Santa Cruz, Los Cristianos, Costa Adeje) will witness an increase in trips to satisfy the anticipated demand for connecting the island’s south with the capital.

Furthermore, passengers from the northern part of the island can link up at the La Laguna Interchange and then proceed with line 014 to reach near the Heliodoro Rodríguez López Stadium.

The company also advises that all other lines, even those without reinforcements, will adhere to their regular weekend timetables.
