The Official College of Physicians of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife province (COMTF) expressed its worries on Wednesday about the continuation of Medical studies at the University of La Laguna (ULL).
The COMTF’s reaction came after the concerns raised by the faculty staff and unions regarding the challenges of generational shift that pose a threat to the continuity of these studies.
The Professional Association highlights the evident shortage of medical professionals currently experienced not only in the country but also across Europe, expressing bewilderment at the lack of assurance in the training of future medical practitioners.
It emphasises that the Medical School of the University of La Laguna has, over the years, showcased its prestige and credibility in producing top-notch professionals in the field.
