An animal shelter in Tenerife has started a campaign for the singer Ed Sheeran to visit them, as he is scheduled to perform a concert on the island on June 29th, with the belief that his influence “could make a difference and help us save thousands more animals with just 30 minutes of your time“.
Tenerife Horse Rescue is a sanctuary with over 500 animals built sustainably and fully financed and developed by volunteers, and they explain that they have made this “unusual” request to “attract” the singer Ed Sheeran and his representative to come and visit.
It started as a horse sanctuary but has now become a centre for the care and rehabilitation of over 500 animals including cats, dogs, rabbits, and guinea pigs, among others.
The invitation for Ed Sheeran to visit also extends to the representative of the British singer, Stuart Camp, as he frequently shares his love for his seven dogs on social media.
“Stuart Camp, we need you. Ed is cool and all, but to us, you and your dogs are the real stars of the show, and we would love for you to come and visit us. If you could maybe bring your friend Ed for a photo at our NGO, you could truly make a difference and help us save thousands more animals with just 30 minutes of your time,” reads the plea.
The shelter managers mention that a month ago they had “a big issue” with water and neighbours and friends showed their solidarity with donations of bottles, so now the animals “await help to reach Stuart and Ed”.
