The roads of Canary Islands have been witnessing several accidents over the past few hours, to the extent that the Archipelago now has a total of eight individuals with varying degrees of injuries from four accidents recorded in Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura, in addition to those that may result from the latest one on the North motorway of Tenerife, from which the affected individuals have not yet been disclosed.
According to reports from the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (Cecoes) 112 of the Government of the Canary Islands, the most significant accident occurred late Saturday night on TF-5 at Guajara, in the municipality of La Laguna.
This accident, involving up to four vehicles with one of them overturning, resulted in four injured persons. Among them, a 24-year-old young man with moderate injuries stood out, and he was transported by a medicalized ambulance from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) to the University Hospital of the Canaries (HUC).
The rest of the injured individuals, all with minor injuries and transferred to the San Juan de Dios Hospital, were an 18-year-old male and two females aged 49 and 28 years. It is worth noting that Tenerife Fire Brigade personnel, in addition to securing the involved vehicles, had to extricate an occupant from inside the cabin of a car that had not overturned.

Two motorcyclists have been added to the list of injured individuals in the recent hours on the Canary Islands’ roads, one in Tenerife and the other in Gran Canaria. The first one suffered a fall on Calle Reyes Católicos in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (Cecoes) 112.
The male individual experienced moderate injuries and was assisted by the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) and transferred by a medical ambulance to the Insular University Hospital of Gran Canaria.
The other motorcycle-involved accident occurred early Sunday in Armeñime, in the municipality of Adeje, following a vehicle’s departure from the roadway.
The injured person is a 51-year-old male who sustained various moderately serious injuries and was, barring complications, transported by a basic life support ambulance from the SUC to the South Hospiten University Hospital.
Lastly, in Lanzarote, two 19-year-old individuals were injured around 02:15 on Sunday after overturning their vehicle on the FV-1 Road, in the area of Corralejo (Fuerteventura).
As reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (Cecoes) 112, the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) assisted the affected individuals, both of whom exhibited moderately serious injuries and were subsequently transported by ambulances to the General Hospital of Fuerteventura.
