Situated on TF-42 towards Garachico-Los Silos, Anrober represents more than just a fresh and modern way of packaging bananas – it embodies the dedication of a family that meticulously attends to every aspect of their work to provide superior produce from their plantations to their customers’ tables.

That is why the García de la Cruz family, experts in banana cultivation, made the decision a decade ago to venture into a project that has now materialised into their own state-of-the-art packaging facility.

Throughout this journey, the team has laboured with commitment, perseverance, and zeal to ensure the freshness, quality, and taste of each item, while also creating local job opportunities – all team members are local residents – and contributing to the region’s economic progress, as they understand that their prosperity is intrinsically linked to the community’s welfare.

The family enterprise yields over three million kilos of bananas in their plantations situated in La Caleta, Los Silos, and Buenavista del Norte, which are exported via the Cupalma agricultural cooperative. They have now expanded their operations to include packaging, which encompasses sorting the fruit, grading it, and placing it in designated containers according to its quality. It is crucial for the workers to handle the fruit with care during this process to ensure it reaches the consumers in optimal conditions.

During the recent inauguration of the new facility, attended by friends, local authorities, and employees, the family expressed gratitude for the dedication and professionalism of their staff.

Among the key contributors to the construction of the warehouse were family businesses like Hermacrule and Perhnan, responsible for the architectural and engineering aspects, resulting in a facility spanning over a thousand square meters.

Following a ceremonial blessing, Ana María García, representing the family, delivered heartfelt words of appreciation to the staff, suppliers, and customers, acknowledging her parents’ unwavering determination, without which none of this would have been achievable. She also paid tribute to her grandparents, who imparted extensive knowledge on banana cultivation and instilled in her a deep love for agriculture.

The García de la Cruz family anticipates encountering new challenges in this phase but is resolute in confronting them “with bravery and resolve,” as stated by Ana María, emphasising “a commitment to continual innovation and expansion, always striving to deliver the utmost excellence in themselves and their products.”
