The Cultural Department of the City Council of Arrecife announces the celebration of the MOVE Canarias festival, an internationally relevant cultural event that will take place from this Thursday until Saturday at various locations in the city. This festival, now in its fourth edition, brings together artists from different parts of the world and aims to democratise access to culture and enrich the cultural life of Canarias.

The festival programme in Arrecife will include a variety of proposals that stand out for their diversity and creativity in the movement arts.

One of the most anticipated events is the contemporary dance piece Moda no soy, performed by Madrid artists Lucía Montes and Mado Dallery. This work, which explores the relationship between music and dance, will be presented on Friday, at 8:00 pm, at the socio-cultural centre in the Valterra neighbourhood.

The festival will also feature the participation of the Ukrainian company Solart, which will present their modern dance show on Saturday 15th June, at 12:00 pm at the Casa de la Cultura Agustín de la Hoz. On the same day, starting at 8:00 pm, the audience can enjoy Lo que nunca te dije, a performance by the Enbedanza company from Tenerife, known for its inclusion of individuals with disabilities in contemporary dance.

Abigail González, Culture Councillor of the City Council of Arrecife, emphasises: “The MOVE Canarias Festival is an excellent opportunity to bring culture and movement arts to our city. We are committed to providing quality and accessible artistic experiences, and this festival is a clear example of that.”
