The water in the municipality of La Guancha in Tenerife is once again suitable for human consumption. In recent days, after the latest analysis of the public water supply, the Health Department of Tenerife has sent the corresponding health inspection report to the La Guancha City Council, confirming the correction of the fluoride levels which are now back to the values established by regulations. The local administration has informed the entire population that “the restriction that was only in place for children under 8 years old has been lifted since May 29th”.

The Mayor of La Guancha, Antonio Hernández, stated that “we had mentioned that in this case, the consumption restriction for children under 8 years old would be temporary and as of June 6th, we confirmed that the entire population of La Guancha can consume the public water supply, complying with current regulations and therefore with all guarantees,” confirmed the Mayor.
