WHAT’S THE WEATHER LIKE IN THE CANARY ISLANDS? | Wednesday’s Weather Forecast for the Canary Islands

Cloudy skies and scattered drizzle in the early and late hours will prevail this Wednesday in Canarias, according to Aemet.

At sea, there will be northeast winds of 3 or 4 in the northeast and 4 or 5 elsewhere, occasionally reaching 6 further out in the northwest and southeast. Slight swell in the northeast and choppy seas, locally strong choppy seas further out to sea in the northwest and southeast. On the southwest coast, variable winds of 1 to 3, breezes, slight swell, or calm. Northerly swell of around one metre.

ISLAND-BY-ISLAND FORECAST FOR WEDNESDAY:

In the north, cloudy skies will dominate with a low probability of scattered drizzle most likely in the early and late hours, decreasing to partly cloudy skies in the afternoon. Elsewhere, partly cloudy with some high cloud intervals. Temperatures will remain mostly unchanged. Moderate northeasterly winds, occasionally strong on the western and southeastern slopes, where locally very strong gusts are likely in the afternoon.

EXPECTED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria 19 23

Cloudy skies with a low probability of isolated light drizzle overnight in the north, clearing to partly cloudy skies with some high cloud intervals in the afternoon. Temperatures will show little change. Moderate northeasterly winds with some strong gusts in inland areas, especially in the afternoon.

EXPECTED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

Arrecife 19 25

Cloudy skies, gradually clearing in the afternoon to partly cloudy with some high cloud intervals. Temperatures will remain stable. Moderate northeasterly winds with some strong gusts in inland areas and in the south of Jandía, especially in the afternoon.

EXPECTED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

Puerto del Rosario 19 25

Cloudy skies in the north and northeast with a low chance of scattered drizzle, mostly in the early and late hours and in the Anaga area, with some clearings in the afternoon. Elsewhere, intervals of high and low clouds. Temperatures with little change or a slight drop in minimums. Moderate northeasterly winds, occasionally strong on the western end, eastern slope, and south of the metropolitan area, where locally very strong gusts are possible during the latter part of the day. Light northwesterly winds at high altitudes.
