SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 7th June (EUROPA PRESS) –

The ex-counsellor of the Department of Transport, Koldo García, and the accuser of the ‘mask case’, entrepreneur Juan Manuel Pérez, are set to kick off the investigation commission proceedings at the Parliament of the Canary Islands on 1st July.

This decision was reached on Friday by the committee board, which greenlit the agenda for July, with public hearings scheduled except for the final deliberation, all in the mornings, closing on 25th July and resuming in September.

The commission’s president, spokesman for the Joint Group (AHI), Raúl Acosta, mentioned that a total of 57 individuals are slated to testify in the Chamber, along with over twenty reports requested.

The only piece missing – potentially more pending clarification from the CGPJ on the impact of the judicial summary secrecy – is the refund document from the RR7 firm by the Canarian Tax Agency for the four million Euros paid for one million masks that were never delivered, as per the General Tax Law stipulating that such information “remain confidential,” as Acosta highlighted.

He also stressed the “significant consensus and unity” among all parties in structuring the agenda.

Among the speakers scheduled for July, the current Ulpgc rector Lluis Serra, a member of the Covid-19 scientific committee, stands out; businessman Íñigo Rotaetxe, representing Soluciones de Gestión company; Khrodan entrepreneur Ihsan Mahmhoud Mohamed, who facilitated the RR7 deal, and RR7’s proprietor, Rayco González, alongside his spouse.

Hence, following the summer break, there will be speakers such as former Canary Islands president and Territorial Policy Minister, Ángel Víctor Torres; former Transportation Minister, José Luis Ábalos; ex-councillors Sebastián Franquis, Blas Trujillo, Julio Pérez, and Teresa Cruz, plus former SCS directors Conrado Domínguez and Alberto Pazos.
