SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 5th June (EUROPA PRESS) –

The work plan for the investigation commission on health contracts during the pandemic has been nearly finalised for the month of June, with sessions scheduled in the morning between the 1st and the 25th.

The commission’s president, spokesperson for the Joint Group, Raúl Acosta, informed journalists that priority will be given to notifying individuals, entities, and companies with easily accessible contact information to ensure their presence.

“In this initial group, several companies have been included as we have reliable addresses from the commercial registry which we can access. We are also considering individuals with known addresses and guarantees of attendance,” he stated.

An agreement has been reached by the Chamber to explore all possible notification methods through electronic platforms, burofax, or even utilising services provided by the Canarian Police or the Parliament’s ushers.

Acosta highlighted the objective of commencing sessions on 1st July with the first two witnesses, although the final approval of the work plan will take place during a closed-door committee meeting next Friday.

Acosta also mentioned that a letter has been sent to the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) to clarify which files and documents are under summary secrecy and cannot be disclosed to deputies.

The supporting groups – CC, PP, ASG, and AHI – have requested the appearance of a total of 38 individuals, including the current Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres, and former Ministry of Transport advisor, Koldo García.

Additionally, they have requested the presence of individuals such as Rayco González, administrator of RR7 United – the company allegedly involved in defrauding the SCS of four million euros for one million masks that were never delivered; businessman Juan Manuel Pérez, the plaintiff in the case; Íñigo Rotaexte, representative of Soluciones de Gestión y Apoyo de Empresas SL, a company connected to the Koldo case; former Health Ministers Julio Pérez, Blas Trujillo, and Teresa Cruz; former SCS directors Antonio Olivera and Conrado Domínguez, and former Treasury Minister, Román Rodríguez.

Mediator

The Socialist Group has requested the appearance of 12 individuals, including Minister Ángel Víctor Torres, PP deputy Carlos Ester, Doctor Negrín Hospital manager Miguel Ángel Ponce, and businessman Agustín Manrique de Lara.

Vox has requested appearances of individuals linked to the RR7 ‘mask case’, such as Torres and Koldo García, former Minister of Transport José Luis Ábalos, and mediator Antonio Tacoronte.

Nueva Canarias-Bloque Canarista (NC-BC) has requested the presence of members of the expert committee organised by the Canarian Government during the pandemic, several former advisors of the Executive, and former SCS director Conrado Domínguez.
