SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 3rd June (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Local Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife have arrested three men for allegedly attacking a 57-year-old man with blows and clubs in Plaza de Los Sabandeños, near Tomé Cano Street in Tenerife’s capital.
The suspects, identified as OS (36 years old), JA (30), and HB (36), fled the scene after the attack but were later intercepted by local officers on Madrid Avenue. The motive behind the assault remains unknown.
A report of a possible altercation involving multiple individuals was received in the early hours of 25th May, and cooperation from the public played a crucial role in understanding the incident.
Upon arrival, the police found the victim lying on the ground with injuries to his head and face. The 57-year-old man received medical assistance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) before being transferred to the University Hospital of Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria (HUNSC).
Utilizing available information, including a video capturing the attack, law enforcement initiated a search operation that led to the apprehension of the three individuals, who were identified based on witness descriptions.
During the arrest, two of the suspects, OS and JA, resisted being identified, searched, and detained. One of them displayed aggressive behavior in the police vehicle and even at the health center where he was taken for treatment.
The third suspect was also brought to La Candelaria Hospital and is currently in police custody. All three individuals have been handed over to the appropriate judicial authorities, as reported by the Local Police.
