SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 3rd June (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo of Tenerife, through its Historical Heritage department, has announced an increase in subsidies for the maintenance and enhancement of properties of historical importance, raising the financial support from one million euros to two million euros. This update was published in the Official Gazette of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (BOP) in the latest edition on Monday.
Isabel de Esteban, the insular director of Historical Heritage, highlights the significance of these subsidies in aiding the upkeep and enhancement of properties with historical value, whose preservation benefits society at large. She also mentioned that “thanks to the increase in funding, it is expected that a larger number of applicants will be able to avail of these subsidies compared to previous calls.”
These subsidies are open for individuals and legal entities, with the exception of the Catholic Church and Public Administrations, as they have their own funding schemes. The purpose is to support various interventions including maintenance, conservation, restoration, building consolidation, and modernization or replacement of water, electricity supply, and sanitation networks.
Eligible expenses cover actions that are planned, ongoing, or already completed, with costs incurred from 1st January 2024 onwards, as detailed by the Cabildo.
The application forms and guidelines will be accessible to interested parties at the Registry Offices and Citizen Services of the Island Council of Tenerife, as well as on the council’s online platform.
For further information or guidance, queries can be directed to the citizen information helpline at 922 23 95 00, or by email at [email protected].
These regulations will come into effect the day following their publication in the Official Gazette of the Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with a 30-day deadline for submission of applications.
Applications can be submitted from the day after their inclusion in the National Subsidies Base, which is anticipated to occur during the current week, with the submission deadline set at 30 calendar days thereafter.
