Earlier today, Maritime Rescue intercepted a canoe carrying 63 migrants south of the island of El Hierro, as communicated by the Press Office of the public entity.
The interception took place following a notification from the Civil Guard to the Rescue Coordination Center in Tenerife, regarding a suspicious presence believed to be a canoe or small boat, located 2.5 nautical miles from La Restinga.
