Changes to Traffic in Santa Cruz de Tenerife ahead of the inaugural Children’s Pilgrimage

On Thursday, Santa Cruz de Tenerife’s City Council will implement specific traffic modifications on Méndez Núñez Street to ensure the smooth progression of the city’s inaugural Children’s Pilgrimage.

The pilgrimage will follow a route from Plaza Weyler to Plaza de La Candelaria, prompting the council to either reserve or clear the roadside parking spaces on the right side of the street, as per a statement from the Santa Cruz City Council.

Consequently, the safety measure will specifically impact the stretch between Weyler Square and the zebra crossing, Weyler Square and Robayna Street, and the same section where Pi y Margall Street intersects, between 08:30 and 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.

Over 650 children from various schools including CEIPS El Draguillo, García Escámez, Georgia Martín Hernández, Gesta 25 de Julio, La Rosa, La Salud, Las Delicias, Las Retamas, Los Dragos, Los Menceyes, Los Verodes, Rambla will gather at Plaza Weyler, representing Santa Cruz, Salamanca, San Andrés, Santa Cruz de California, and Villa Ascención.
