Mahou unveils a unique collection in collaboration with Canarian artist Bejo

Mahou revealed today its latest special collection specifically designed for the Canary Islands, created in partnership with local artist Bejo.

The unveiling of the new can design took place at the Mahou San Miguel factory in Candelaria, the chosen venue. The collection will soon be available on supermarket shelves and in the hospitality sector.

The concept behind Mahou’s special edition for the Canary Islands is “Life is enriched by connections. Music is amplified when shared. The Canary Islands, a vibrant stage for our gatherings.” Through this exclusive release, artist Bejo aimed to capture the essence of the Canary Islands, its music scene, and the bond between Mahou and the islands, drawing inspiration from the purest elements of the Archipelago that are exclusive to its residents.

This exclusive edition, available in can and third formats, is produced at Mahou San Miguel’s Tenerife production facility, like all the beer distributed by the company in the Canary Islands.

Jorge Marrero, the head of Mahou San Miguel Canarias, stated, “This special release underscores our dedication to music and artists, and the selection of Bejo has been a perfect fit. His design is truly a work of art that I believe will evoke immense pride among all Canarians.”

Bejo, a musical and visual artist born in Tenerife in 1994, holds a significant following across Spain, particularly in the Canary Islands, where he is celebrated by Generation Z for his distinctive rap style. A songwriter since 2006, Bejo received a Goya nomination in 2012 for the song “Our beach is you” featured in the movie Maktub. He is also a respected graphic artist known for his unique style, “Bejismo,” which also serves as the name of his clothing brand.
