The Mobility and Universal Accessibility service of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council has organised various traffic closures in different parts of the city starting from tomorrow, Sunday, 19th May, until Thursday the 23rd due to filming activities for a car brand commercial.
The initial closures will take place tomorrow on Méndez Núñez Street, which will be shut down between Avenida Veinticinco de Julio and Viera y Clavijo from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for filming purposes. Following that, there will be closures on José Murphy Street on Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd.
In addition, there will be parking reservation and road occupation on Viera and Clavijo streets, affecting the parking spaces on the right side in the direction of traffic between Méndez Núñez and Veinticinco de Julio streets, starting today, Saturday 18th, at 10:00 p.m. until the same time the next day.
Further closures will impact Pi and Margall streets, particularly the parking lots on the left and right banks in the direction of traffic between specific numbers on the same day and time as the previous closures.
The area around Plaza de la Estación Transformadora (Los Hoteles neighbourhood) will experience restrictions during the same timeframe. General Antequera Street will also undergo modifications on the same dates and hours as previously stated. On Méndez Núñez Street, it will be essential to reserve or clear all online parking spaces on the right side towards Numancia Street concurrently with the above closures.
Lastly, Villalba Hervás street, surrounding the parking lots near Plaza del Príncipe and the Church of San Francisco, will be used for filming purposes starting from Tuesday, 21st May, at 11:00 p.m. until Wednesday, 22nd May at 10:00 p.m.
The councillor for Mobility and Universal Accessibility, Evelyn Alonso, assured that “signallers will be stationed at the closed sections and alternate routes to guide users and residents, as well as to assist vehicles in entering and exiting the area.”
