SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 15 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Cabildo de Tenerife and the Social Council of the University of La Laguna will develop in the Fairgrounds on November 17 and 18 the fair ‘Empleoland, the place where work is spoken’, an appointment with employment opportunities and a key space to bring, move and disseminate the needs of the labor market and obtain the necessary knowledge in the search for active employment.

The Minister of Employment, Socio-Economic Development and Foreign Action, Carmen Luz Baso, explained that ‘EmpleoLand’ will try to offer opportunities in the face of the need to bring, move and disseminate the offers of the labor market to the people who intervene in the employability process, covering all the aspects that are given, from training, to the departments in charge of human resources of the companies, institutions and organizations that collaborate.

The president of the Social Council of the University of La Laguna, María Dolores Pelayo, pointed out that the level of frustration of young people and students, with respect to employability, “has led to a constant emigration of this social mass,” and added that there is “a clear divorce between training centers with the new job demands of the current economy proposed by a great revolution, a change in the way of seeing work, and therefore it is necessary to prepare young people and training centers for those new demands. “

During the celebration ‘EmpleoLand’ workshops, activities and presentations will be carried out by leading people from different sectors aimed at channeling talent, an aspect that will alternate with the Employment, Entrepreneurship and Internationalization Fair with participation, in different spaces of the Tenerife Fairground, with business organizations and unions.

“From the Cabildo de Tenerife we want to continue guiding and supporting the active search for employment with the appropriate tools, bringing the applicant closer to the companies and simultaneously offering the appropriate training,” according to the counselor.

With the exception of the presentations and round tables that will take place in the ULLniverso-ULL Social Council space, which entry will be free without prior registration, people interested in participating in the rest of the presentations will have to register for free through the web trabajoland.com or go directly to the Tenerife Fairgrounds in case of attending the Employability Fair.
