Tejina 2024 Star Meeting

A total of five plays will be presented by students from CEIP Punta del Hidalgo, CEIP San Bartolomé, CEIP Princesa Tejina, and IES Dr. Antonio González González. The event will conclude with a musical performance titled Children of Atlantis featuring ESO and Baccalaureate students.

Photographic exhibition ‘Women of the countryside and sea’

TIME: Monday to Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

PLACE: Santo Domingo convent

Photographer Guillermo Pozuelo Gil from La Laguna presents an image collection of Canarian women working in the primary sector across all the islands. The exhibition strives to shed light on the role of rural women in the Canary Islands and acknowledge their vital contribution to the archipelago’s primary sector.

Beauty and the Beast

The production of Beauty and the Beast serves as a cultural and enlightening endeavour that delves into the shallowness of modern society and advocates for a more compassionate perspective towards individuals we perceive as different. Candilejas Producciones has chosen Marina Rojas, a visually impaired actress and artist, to portray the character of Bella, positioning her as the valiant protagonist of the narrative.

Ibolia

The ensemble Ibolia from Tenerife, comprising of musicians Andrea Zenti, Gabor Bordacs, Jordi Blázquez, German Cuesto, and Melchor García, will present a flamenco concert showcasing their unique fusion compositions, welcoming the audience to explore their musical blend.

Danz Back – Charity Concert by the Santiago Sabina Orchestra

The charitable concert, organized by the Santiago Sabina Orchestra, aims to serve a pedagogical purpose as part of the Orchestrated Neighbourhoods initiative. The students, under the guidance of musician and composer Álvaro Díaz, have previously collaborated on social causes with associations such as COSIMTE and AFES Mental Health.

XIX Ariferint Cultural Week

The Ariferint Folkloric Group presents its Cultural Week as a platform to showcase the rich folklore of the Canary Islands and underline the significance of Canarian traditions as a testament to local identity.

Documentary Screening In Shackleton’s Wake

In Shackleton’s Wake is the latest creation by Juan Diego Amador, a mountaineer and adventurer from Tenerife, capturing his recent expedition to Antarctica in commemoration of the centenary of the renowned Irish adventurer’s death, retracing Shackleton’s legendary journey.

Lagoon Influence – Muriel Sarda

The talented Muriel Sarda will be the highlight of this month’s Laguna Influence event.
