WEATHER IN THE CANARY ISLANDS | What to Expect for Weather on Thursday in the Canary Islands?

Temperatures will once again rise in the Canary Islands this Thursday, with the possibility of exceeding 30 degrees locally in parts of the eastern islands and Tenerife, under generally cloudy skies and accompanied by winds that can bring strong gusts to corners throughout the archipelago, according to the State Meteorological Agency.

The maximum temperature will reach 28 degrees in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with a minimum of 19, and 26 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, with a forecasted lowest value of 18 degrees, as detailed in the forecast, which specifies that moderate north winds are expected, with occasional strong gusts on the southeast slopes, more likely during the early hours and late in the day.

North winds are also forecasted, although with possible northeast areas, in the waters of the Canaries, where their strength will range between 2 and 5 depending on the area, and there will be slight to moderate waves but with areas of rough seas, with a northern or northeastern swell of 1 meter.

Maximum temperatures with little change. It is likely to reach 30 – 32 °C in inland areas and coasts of the southern and western slopes. Moderate north winds with occasional strong gusts in the extreme northwest, west, and southeast. On the summits, moderate northeast winds decreasing to light in the morning.

Moderate north winds, with occasional strong gusts on the southeast coast during the early hours and late afternoon.

Moderate north winds, with occasional strong gusts on the southern slope of Jandía during the early hours and from the afternoon.

Partly cloudy skies with high and medium cloudiness, with periods of low clouds on the northeast coast during the early hours and late afternoon. Minimum temperatures with little change; slight increases expected on the coasts and slight decreases in the summits. Maximum temperatures unchanged or slightly decreasing, especially in the northeast. It is possible to reach 30 ºC in inland areas and coasts of the southern slope. Moderate north winds, occasionally strong on the southeast slope of the metropolitan area from the afternoon. Light westerly winds in the summits.

Weather Forecast for Canary Islands

The latest weather report for the Canary Islands in the next few hours predicts minimum temperatures to remain fairly stable. However, maximum temperatures are expected to slightly decrease, especially in the western region. There will be moderate northerly winds with strong gusts at the eastern and western extremes. On mountain peaks, winds will be moderate from the northeast.

Skies will be mostly covered with high-altitude clouds and some low clouds along the northern coast starting around noon. Minimum temperatures will remain stable along the coasts but will slightly to moderately decrease in high-lying areas. Maximum temperatures will stay unchanged in the southern half but will drop slightly in the northern half. There will be moderate northeasterly winds with strong gusts along the southeastern coasts. On mountain tops, winds will be moderate from the northeast.

The sky will be covered with high cloudiness. Minimum temperatures will not change, and maximum temperatures will slightly decrease. There will be moderate northeasterly winds with strong gusts at the southeast and west coasts from noon onwards. On mountain peaks, winds will be moderate from the northeast.
