SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, April 30. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Peinpal has given the green light for entry into 42 new homes in Puerto Naos, enabling a total of 734 households to potentially return to their residences, including eight in La Bombilla.
Currently, 374 individuals have completed the necessary procedures to access Puerto Naos and La Bombilla, with the La Palma Council being informed that approximately 40 families are permanent residents in the authorised accommodations.
Vice President of the Council, Juan Ramón Felipe, elaborated on the ongoing efforts undertaken by the Council and Peinpal to gradually restore normalcy along the Aridane Valley coast: “Decisions are made based on the historical data provided by the installed meters in these areas to ensure a safe return home for the residents.
Concurrently, Peinpal has recently permitted the reopening of the María Milagrosa Acosta García CEIP in Puerto Naos and is actively working towards the reopening of commercial establishments, which will adhere to safety measures distinct from those implemented in residential premises, tailored for ensuring workplace safety.
Additionally, it is worth noting that the opening hours for Puerto Naos beach have been extended until 8:30 p.m. to encourage a gradual normalisation in the area of the Island impacted by the Tajogaite volcano. Beachgoers are required to possess a QR code, obtainable via the website https://permiso.lapalma.es/Solicitud, which remains valid for six months.
