A total of four individuals, including two Civil Guard officers, sustained injuries of varying severity in a road accident on the TF-4 road towards Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center of the 1-1-2 from the Canary Islands.
The incident took place on Monday afternoon at the aforementioned location, where a truck collided with a Civil Guard vehicle that had just pulled over to signal and aid the driver of another truck parked on the shoulder.
Emergency personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) arrived at the scene to attend to the two officers. Initially, one of them suffered moderate back and chest injuries, while the other officer, aged 46, had multiple moderate contusions without further complications.
Both officers were transported by ambulance to the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria University Hospital.
Additionally, SUC staff provided medical assistance to the 44-year-old driver of the damaged truck, who had moderate chest injuries at the scene but with no complications, and was subsequently taken by ambulance to the Hospiten Rambla University Hospital. The driver of the colliding truck exhibited mild anxiety and was also transferred by ambulance to the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria University Hospital.
Tenerife firefighters arrived at the scene and extricated the officers who were unable to exit the vehicle due to the impact, while the Local Police officers carried out the necessary documentation.
