The April Fair is a highly anticipated event for the people of Seville, but now Tenerife is also gearing up for the festivities. Over 4,000 individuals attended last year’s inaugural edition of the April Fair in La Laguna, and this year’s celebration has started since Friday.

The Las Mantecas park is set as the venue of this fantastic event, offering free entrance from the 26th of April until the 28th. The opening ceremony was held yesterday evening, kicking off three days of entertainment where “nothing will be missing”.

The Fair features performances by renowned flamenco and sevillanas artists. Guests can also explore stalls offering traditional Andalusian cuisine and delightful surprises.

Event Schedule

Saturday, 27th April

  • 12:00 pm – Fair inauguration and kick-off
  • 12:30 pm – Rumba workshop led by instructors from participating schools
  • 1:00 pm – Children’s show by students from the Ana Manrique school
  • 1:30 pm – Castanet workshop by Estefanía Luque
  • 2:00 pm – Flamenco horse show featuring Chico de La Cruz and Estefanía Luque or Laura Guillén
  • 2:30 pm – Sevillanas dance session for the public
  • 3:30 pm – Sevillanas contest for the public in three categories: Children, Adults, and Seniors. Registration at the Organization booth until 3:00 pm.
  • 5:00 pm – Performances by schools and associations from Gran Canaria participating in the fair
  • 6:00 pm – Sevillanas dance session for the public
  • 7:00 pm – Performances by schools and associations from Tenerife participating in the fair (Ana Lamadrid, Ana Manrique, and Estefanía Luque)
  • 8:00 pm – Sevillanas dance session for the public
  • 9:30 pm – Performance by the Adonay Flamenco Group (Jesús Requelo and Diego Cortés)
  • 11:00 pm – Closing of the Fair

Sunday, 28th April

  • 12:00 pm – Fair starts for the day
  • 12:00 pm – Sevillanas dance session for the public
  • 1:00 pm – Raffle draw and award presentation for various contests
  • 2:00 pm – Sevillanas dance session for the public
  • 6:00 pm – Fair concludes
