SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 26th April. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Port Authority will commence the call for the fourth instalment of the ‘Ports of Tenerife Awards for Excellence in Safety, Health and Wellbeing’ this coming Sunday, the 28th, coinciding with World Safety and Health Day in the workplace.

The primary aim of these accolades is to acknowledge, raise awareness of, and foster the dedication of port enterprises towards a preventive ethos and its integration into business operations, excellence in the coordination of business undertakings, and the implementation of top-tier practices in safety, health, and employee welfare.

The competition emphasises two key categories: ‘Enterprises Demonstrating Exemplary Occupational Risk Prevention (ORP)’, underscoring the significance of a robust preventive framework, and ‘Heathy Business: Pioneering Organisation’, honouring the endeavours of companies that champion the health and wellbeing of their workforce, advocating for initiatives that enhance the quality of work life.

In alignment with these categories, all businesses enlisted in the Port Authority’s Business Activities Coordination Platform, possessing current authorisation or concession in any of our ports, serving as port service providers, or under contract, are eligible to participate in the Ports of Tenerife scheme.

The deadline for submitting applications is set for 9th September 2024. The requisite documentation should preferably be submitted in electronic form through the General Entry Registry of the Port Authority. Comprehensive information on this matter is accessible on the Puertos de Tenerife website.
