The new food van from the renowned chef Dabiz Muñoz left the Santa Cruz municipal impound lot on Thursday, April 25, where it was taken by the crane on Tuesday, April 23, after the Local Police immobilized and fined it for lacking insurance since January. The Madrid chef, considered one of the best in the world, who already has three Michelin stars, has paid the impound fee, amounting to 89.55 euros, and retrieved his food truck around 7:50 am, which has returned to the streets of the capital.
According to the communication team of the renowned chef, the fine for driving without insurance, amounting to 1,500 euros, has also been settled, and the situation has been regularized. Dabiz Muñoz has admitted that there was an “oversight” regarding the failure to renew the vehicle insurance, which expired on January 27 of this year. He also fully understands why the Santa Cruz Local Police immobilized and fined the food truck, and why the tow truck took it to the impound lot.
Specifically, the food truck of the Madrid chef was immobilized by the Chicharrera Local Police on Tuesday, around noon, while it was on Tres de Mayo Avenue, near the Bus Station. The officers requested the vehicle documentation and discovered that it was uninsured since late January. The communication team of the prestigious chef assures that everything has been resolved.
After the success in Gran Canaria, the new venture of this renowned chef, Muñoz Chickens, the GoXO coop, has moved to Santa Cruz de Tenerife to offer its products at El Corte Inglés square, from April 29 until June 16. “This new fast-food concept allows the chef to bring his cuisine to the general public, with more affordable prices than in his restaurants.”
